The Upskilling Grant Fund

Grants from £1,000 - £3,000. 10% match funding required. For a maximum of 5 employees per employer.

The Upskilling Grants Fund is targeted at businesses based within Telford and Wrekin. The fund aims to:

• Support upskilling
• Support worker retention
• Enable in work progression

It will do this by offering match funded grants of up to £3,000 for eligible level 4 and above training or its equivalent, or by supporting industry specific training where it will lead to in work progression.
The fund will not support mandatory / legislative required training, or support training where it is available through other funded provision.

This fund is open to business from B2B and B2C categories.

Due to time scales all training must be completed by 28^th February 2025.

Next Steps

All businesses will be required to go through a two stage application process:

• Stage 1: Expression of interest submission. If approved you will be progressed to the next stage.
• Stage 2: The full application form will be released.

All applications will be assessed against pre-defined criteria, we anticipate high volumes and with a limited amount of funds we will not be able to support all applications that are submitted. Successful and early submission of a full application does not guarantee funding.

The onus is on the applicant to complete the application correctly, provide the necessary information and demonstrate that it meets the requirements of the fund. There will be no appeals process and the ability to provide comprehensive feedback will be limited.
